Using the Bible As Your Primary Textbook

We know that the Bible says we are to impress God’s commands on our children by talking about them when we sit, walk, lie down and get up (Deuteronomy 6:4-9). That’s all the time!

We homeschoolers have an advantage here, simply because we have more time in each day to spend with our children.

Science Projects?

I am looking for good websites and books that describe HOW to do a science project, with ideas for projects and step-by-step guidance on how to research, write, display, and enter contests, etc.

Curriculum and Planning with No Money

Anne, do you know of any tips or curriculum ideas for those in these tough times? My husband has been out of work since February, and I’m wondering what curriculum to buy (especially for my 10th grader who needs to do Biology and Spanish) and still give my children a good education.

Practical Planning for a New School Year

I know summer is only half over, but my brain is certainly gearing up for the new school year. I really love to plan and make lists, so I think this is fun. However, summer days go by quickly, and planning a school year is a big job — so it takes me several weeks to get it all done.

God's Lesson Plans

In our Bible study of Ephesians today, we learn that we are members of God’s household, “built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets” (Ephesians 2:19-20).

Paul refers to this again in 2 Timothy 3:14-17, when he reminds young pastor Timothy,

“But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
